About this recording

During David Fraser's time as a light keeper, he spent some time at Noss Head Lighthouse. He explains, "Working the light itself was the most important part of the job - it had to be kept burning during the hours of darkness".

David also describes the system of 'watches' throughout the day and night.

This brief extract is from a Wick Voices interview recorded in November 2017, running for 18m 30s.
