One of the highlights is a small schoolroom of the early 20th Century, complete with desks, writing slates, school books and the dreaded punishment ‘strap’ (the tawse).

This exhibit also includes the school books, still in their original school satchel, which belonged to a wee boy who sadly died aged 10 in the 1918 ‘flu’ epidemic.
