About this recording

Alan Miller talks about the freedom he experienced, growing up in Pulteneytown, in the fifties and sixties. He recalls vivid memories of his schooldays, including his first term at the South School in Macrae Street, where he used slates and sand trays. He also describes the move to the brand new Pulteneytown Academy in Seaforth Avenue, in Primary 1 and recalls further exploits throughout primary school and later in Wick High School. He has fond memories of his family and retells some humorous anecdotes throughout this interview.
