About this recording

Although born and brought up in Wick, Dorothy Miller has spent almost fifty years away from the area, however her heart is very much in Caithness. After briefly reflecting upon her schooldays at Wick North School and Wick High School, Dorothy recalls many happy memories spent in Wick library nurturing her love of books. After school and prior to attending Aberdeen University, Dorothy spent a year as a trainee journalist at the John O’Groat Journal. Listen to Dorothy weave her life story, making links to the plot and characters of her novels.

As an author, she writes as Dorothy Stewart.
