Museum Now Open!

Wick Heritage Museum opened for the 2008 season at Easter.

Over the winter months Wick Society volunteers have spent many hours on the important tasks of maintenance, cataloguing and preparing the Museum’s treasures for display. New items have been added and displays, particularly the ‘cooperage’, have been upgraded.

Lighting has been improved and new security measures are in place.

The Members of the Wick Society are continuing to prepare the many policies and procedures that are necessary to meet the exacting standards required for application for United Kingdom Museum Accreditation. This is a key objective for the Wick Heritage Museum in the coming months.

We have three requests to make to you.

  • Don't forget to include a visit to the Museum on your "must do" list!
  • Remind your visitors that a few hours in the Wick Heritage Museum will be the highlight of their holiday!
  • Get to know more about "Wick’s great treasure store"!
