Painting Honours Restoration
Inspired by the dedicated restoration of the 116 year-old 'Isabella Fortuna', Wick artist, Ian Mackenzie has produced a stunning painting of the vessel under full sail. The 45 foot 'Fifie' has already become an iconic symbol of Wick's 21st Century resurgence and the travelling ambassador of The Wick Society.
Ian gifted the painting to the Society with an added bonus - permission to reproduce the image as a Limited Edition Print. This enables the Society to raise much needed funds for its on-going work of preserving and promoting Wick's rich heritage.
In front of the recently restored 19th Century Wick Herring Market Ian formally presented the painting to Wick Society Chairman, Donald Sinclair. As an acknowledgement of the many skilful contributions Ian has made to The Wick Society he was given the first of the 200 prints that have been produced.
Numbered and signed prints can be purchased from the Wick Society at a cost of £20.00. Framed £50.00.
To reserve your copy you may email the Society at museum@wickheritage.org.
This is a limited edition of 200 prints, individually numbered and signed by the artist. Orders will be processed in strict date order.
