Art Gallery
The Art Gallery displays a number of paintings, many by local artists, of local places and people. Among these are paintings by members of the Johnston family whose photographic archive is also held by The Wick Society. See The Johnston Collection on this site.
The Gallery was opened by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother on 17th August 1989.
The Gallery also houses a commemorative plaque in memory of the ten children who were killed in two bombing raids on Wick on 1 July 1940 and 26 October 1940.
The room also serves a venue for meetings of The Wick Society and also provides access to photographs held in the archive.
